Finishing in Third Place, Sea Dogs Miss Playoffs
The Portland Sea Dogs have missed the Eastern League playoffs for the 2010 season.
The Sea Dogs finished 12.5 games back of the first-place Trenton Thunder and nine games back of the second-place New Hampshire Fisher Cats in the Eastern Conference. Only the first and second place teams make the playoffs. Harrisburg Senators and Altoona Curve made the Western Conference playoffs.
Sea Dogs favorites, include Ryan Kalish, Lars Anderson, Yamaico Navarro and others can be seen in Pawtucket and with the major league Red Sox through the rest of the 2010 season.
The Portland Sea Dogs will open the 2011 season on Thursday, April 7th at 6:00 PM at Hadlock Field against the Reading Phillies. Individual tickets for the 2011 season will go on sale at the Hadlock Field Ticket Office at 9:00 AM on Saturday, November 6th. The Sea Dogs will welcome the 7 millionth fan to Hadlock Field sometime during the 2011 season.
